The Tibetan Mastiff (TM) is an ancient breed. The first known record of the breed is found in chinese literature dated 1121 BC, where a tibetan dog was sent from a western chinese province to the Emperor Wou-wang. This animal was said to be 4 feet (122 cm) tall and trained to attack men of a strange race.
